A computer desk is a lot like a computer case in the fact that both of them are two types of products where you simply can’t say, with absolute certainty, that one option is better than another.
What I mean by that, is that just like computer cases, the value of a computer desk is all going to come down to the eye of the beholder. Or, in other words, where one person might think a desk is amazing, another person with completely different tastes may absolutely hate that same desk.
With that being said, there are a few factors that we can look at to determine the ‘general’ quality of a computer case.
In this computer desk buyer’s guide, we took a look at 24 different desks from the perspective of a gamer and rated and reviewed each one based off of what they bring to the table.
The guide is broken down into multiple price ranges to help you better sort through the computer desk reviews. And, while all of these desks may be viable for the right person in the right scenario, choosing the best gaming desk for you will all come down to your own personal preferences.
Best Gaming Desks Under $2,000
If you have a large budget and you are looking to pull out all the stops on your gaming setup, you might want to consider these over-the-top desks.
While the Lian Li desk/computer chassis combo desks are the only two gaming-specific desks in this category, the other three traditional desks can work well as gaming PC desks also.
However, if you want to go to the extreme the Lian Li DK-02X and DK-Q2 are some of the most unique gaming desk options currently on the market. Rather than just simply providing you with a desk, they come with a built-in drawer that is designed to house the components in your custom PC.
That’s right… this desk makes it so that you don’t even need a standard computer case! Although, the steep price is probably enough to justify skipping out on these two desks, as there are definitely more affordable options that will serve as solid desks as well.

Best Gaming Desks Under $500
What the $200-$500 price range offers for computer desks is a bunch of really sturdy, really spacious desks that can be used in just about any setting—let alone in a gaming setup.
The one desk that stands out in this price range, though, is the DXRacer Gaming Desk—not because it is superior to the other desks, but because it is specifically built for gamers. However, while the DXRacer Gaming Desk has a lot of gamer-specific features, that means it had to sacrifice in one important area… available work space.
However, while I prefer larger desks, some gamers won’t need a big desk and so size won’t matter as much.
Ultimately, though, all of the desks listed below will more than do their part if you are looking to build your own PC gaming battlestation.

Best Gaming Desks Under $200
In the $100-$200 price range you have quite a few options to choose between. Depending on what kind of shape of desk you want, in this range you can choose between some nice standard straight desks, or you also have a couple of L-Shaped desks to choose between as well.
The other thing that you’ll notice with desks in this price range is that they are, on average, wider, deeper, and better-built than the options under $100. To me, aside from a certain level of eye-catching aesthetics, it’s essential that I have a wide and deep enough desk to accommodate my triple monitor setup.
Obviously, for those of you gamers who only need and want a single monitor setup, you don’t necessarily need as wide of a desk. And, this is even more true if you don’t have the room to accommodate a super long desk.
Ultimately, though, if you have a moderate budget and you want a deep computer desk, these options below should get the job done for you.

Best Gaming Desks Under $100
Depending on your needs and personal preferences, you can land yourself a decent desk for under $100.
Now, it should be noted that if you have a smaller budget to spend on your desk, that you probably shouldn’t be planning on putting multiple monitors on it. (Of course, though, you could always mount multiple monitors to free up desk space.)
And, you should also expect to get something that isn’t quite as durable as the options that cost over $100.
But, if you are working with a tight budget, a smaller space, and you don’t need anything too fancy, then the five gaming desks below are probably your best bet.

It’s All About Preference…
While this list has a ton of different options you can choose between if you are looking for a quality computer desk for your gaming setup, the truth is that choosing the right desk for your needs will all come down to personal preference.
And, there is no doubt in my mind that there are some really solid options out there that didn’t make it onto this list—not to mention the fact that, many gamers have built some really amazing DIY desks as well.
Ultimately, though, choosing a desk really comes down to the individual, because the decision is mainly based on the features and specifications that you value in a desk.
